Kuwait’s Ministry of Health honours Dr. Muthana Sartawi on its Wall of Inventor Doctors as the inventor of muscle- and tendon-sparing knee replacement — US patent 10,149,774 B1.
After traditional knee replacement, many patients can't bend the knee enough for sujood. Dr. Sartawi's technique spares the muscles and tendons, with the goal of returning patients to their prayer.
